It’s pretty much Halloween and I’ve been too busy to figure out a costume. The only thing I did manage to do Halloweeny is carve a pumpkin — and that ended up being a very special pumpkin. It was special because a) it looked like a kitten had clawed on it and b) I had — attempted to — carved my name and my boyfriend’s name on it with a heart above it. How spooky, right? Ended up being more of Valentine’s Day for us than Halloween.
Anyway, between the lovey dovey fright night and the chaos that October has been for me, I found some time to work on a dark melody. I guess I went dark because it was October and I was trying to come up with something not-so-happy, which has been difficult for me the last few years! So here is the darkest song I’ve managed to write since 2008.
